3 Simple Ways to Get Rid of This Unwanted Feminine Odor

In most cases the vaginal odor is caused by other than sexually transmitted disease. Therefore, the normal odor caused by yeast infection or bacterial infection can be removed easily with many home remedies of which the following 3 are very prominent and powerful.

Remember candida yeast infection is more common than bacterial vaginosis and is much easier to deal with also. Although it may take longer time to treat it and it may come back if proper hygiene is not followed. Therefore, make it a habit to clean your private parts regularly with mild soaps and other odor removal products.

1. Yogurt

Yogurt is by far the best remedy for vaginal odor and yeast infections. Even for bacterial vaginosis, yogurt does help. Yogurt has good bacteria that fights with bad bacteria. Yogurt containing lactobacillus bacteria fights well with the root cause of most vaginal odor cases.

The candida infection is neutralized and the vaginal odor stops. It is a good habit to eat 200 gm of yogurt daily, not only for getting rid of vaginal odor but also for maintaining a good digestive health. Yogurt keeps the harmful bacteria in check.

  • Before taking, shower, apply yogurt generously in and around your vagina and leave it there for 30 minutes. Wash it and clean the area with water. Complete your shower process. Do it regularly for 7 days the vaginal odor will disappear.
  • Apply yogurt on a tampon and insert it. Leave it there for a few hours, then rinse the area properly after removing the tampon. Do it twice a day for a few days to watch and feel the vaginal odor disappearing.

 

Please make sure that the yogurt you eat or apply is plain organic yogurt. Any sweetened or flavored yogurt will do more harm than giving you the benefits of removal of vaginal odor.

2. Vinegar

Both Apple cider vinegar and white Vinegar are equally useful in removing vaginal odor due to their antibacterial and antiseptic properties. They maintain the required pH value of the vaginal flora and keep the odor at bay.

Apply the vinegar generously in and around the infected smelly odor producing vaginal area. Leave it for 5 minutes and rinse it with another dose of vinegar before rinsing the area with water.

If you practice proper hygiene and apply any one of the vinegar, then within a week or even less time you can get rid of vaginal odor. You can use both vinegar alliteratively to get even better results.

You can also drink diluted vinegar or add to your food.

3. Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil possessing anti-fungal and antiseptic capabilities particularly is very useful, when the vaginal odor is due to bacterial infection. The best way to use tea tree oil is to add 3-4 drops of tea tree oil in coconut oil.

Mix them well and apply on a tampon which can stay in you body for a long time. Change such tea tree oil applied tampon twice daily. Rinsing the vagina with diluted tea tree oil in water doesn't really work well so stick to tampon to get rid of your vaginal odor.

In addition to the above remedies, it is also important to maintain your immunity levels high.

Drink lots of water to keep hydrated. Dehydration reduces immunity as well as causes skin problems and it takes a longer time for any skin condition to heal if you are perpetually dehydrated. Citrus fruits are immune boosters due to Vitamin C contents. Eat oranges and other citrus fruits daily.

Change your undergarments regularly. If you live in humid conditions then change the undergarment twice daily.
